Progress' Fire Department is charged with the responsibility of protecting the lives and property of the citizens of Progress.
Whether the emergency is fire, illness, trauma, hazardous materials release, or special rescue, PFD maintains a trained staff and well-equipped vehicles to meet this responsibility.
In addition to emergency response, the Department also provides effective emergency prevention activities such as fire code enforcement, inspections, and public education.
Progress currently maintains two fire stations, one on the east and one on the west end of town. Fire Station No. 1, located at 310 1st Avenue, can be reached by phoning (972) 555-4532. Fire Station No. 2, located at 1452 Rattingont Drive, serves as the administration offices and can be reached by phoning (972) 555-3854. As always, the emergency fire alarm is activated by phoning 911.
